Wood Shapers reaffirms its sustainable development and construction approach with a new logo
20/09/2022 - Highlight

Through the development of numerous wooden construction projects, Wood Shapers is looking to modernise the real estate industry with its sustainable approach. The new common mission of the CFE group, of which it is a part, reinforces this objective: to bring together people, skills, materials and technology in a community for positive change.

The new mission of the CFE group and its subsidiaries, including Wood Shapers, is the result of a strategic repositioning exercise, which has also given rise to a new visual identity shared by all its entities.

Climate change, energy crisis, access to affordable and qualitative housing, lack of resources, pollution, waste management, mobility, accessibility, health and well-being. Those are the unseen societal and environmental challenges CFE group wants to tackle.

“When you’re active in an industry that shapes tomorrow’s world for decades to come, you are responsible for taking care of our future generations. We have to dare and change what isn’t sustainable.”, explains CEO and president of the Executive Committee of CFE Group.

The group, active in the sectors of sustainable buildings, smart industries, and tomorrow's mobility infrastructure, aims to take advantage of the combined strength of its subsidiaries. This is reflected in a new logo for CFE and its entities that are part of it. The size of the group allows it to play a leading role for the Society, which it wishes to fully endorse in order to have the greatest impact and change what is not sustainable.

“At a time when the construction sector represents 42% of the total CO2-emissions and that traditional primary resources are becoming rarer, we want to rethink the balance between environment, well-being of occupants and engineering. Wood is the solution of the future. It’s the only material capable of stocking CO2 and its thermic isolation performances allow a decrease in energy consumption of a building. And as it’s lighter than concrete, it requires less transport. I’m looking forward to shift into a higher gear, joining forces with the other entities of the CFE group” states Jorgen Bornauw, CEO of Wood Shapers.

By placing sustainability, innovation and excellence for their customers at the heart of the group's strategy, CFE and Wood Shapers highlight the work of all employees and partners for a better world. “We want to share this new ambition with the whole wide world as our community is infinite. Together there is no limit to what we can accomplish” Raymond Trost concludes.
