Monteco is the highest wooden office building in Brussels, symbolizing sustainable innovation in the European Quarter. One of the first timber-structure buildings in the Brussels-Capital Region, this R+8 project features a wooden substructure made entirely of PEFC-certified wood and serves as the new headquarters of Nagelmackers Bank. 

Completed in 2022, this eight-story structure combines a concrete core with a fully timber frame using PEFC-certified wood sourced within 500 km. Developed by Nextensa and ION, Monteco was realized by Wood Shapers and BPC Group. With its passive design, prefabrication precision, and BREEAM Excellent certification, Monteco is a benchmark for low-carbon urban development.
